"All I need is one good idea," I mused aloud. "Just one really good idea, and I could write a book."
Jacob looked up from his drawing. "I could write a book," he said, and then nonchalantly returned to his markers.
"You think so?" I asked with raised eyebrows.
"Yeah. How hard could it be?" he said, shrugging. "All you need are some words
and a picture."
Gee, why hadn’t I thought of that?
Gotta love our Jake! Brilliant minds retain simple thoughts. I am waiting for your book, and Jacob's! They're gonna be awesome!
ReplyDeleteJacob started his book immediately after his declaration. I, on the other hand, had to attend his literary workshop first. "Mommy, what's your favorite animal? That could be a character..."
DeleteWell, get to it already!!!
ReplyDeleteShould have said that in my earlier comment: you have a wonderful sense of humor and you do have not one but many good ideas. I love reading your blog. You should totally write a book.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement Daniela. It means a lot. :-)
DeleteI know your blog is mostly about the kids, but I'd totally read a book by you written about your family. Ya'll crack me up :) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie!
DeleteAnd if you ask my son - the words just get in the way in books :) See, now all you need are pictures!
