Nerds Rule

This week Jacob came home from school and told me that one of the boys in his class had told him that he had started a "Cool Club," and Jacob was not in it. Apparently, in order to be in this kid's club, you couldn't be good at math.

"I think his club is pretty boring," Jacob said, as he sat in the kitchen doing his math homework. "Math is awesome."

I was invited to an awards ceremony at Jacob's school today, and guess who took home top honors for math. Jacob. He's starting his own club of blue certificate winners. And I couldn't be more proud of him.

  1. Congrats, Jacob! (And how impressive that you already realize it doesn't matter what others think. Do what you like; what you like to do IS cool.) Kudos!

  3. Great job, Jacob! (I want to know what the students did. Was it a calculus question? The teachers are beaming.)

  4. So proud of our Jake! And the amazing part of the whole thing is that he is doing second grade math as a first grader and still went to the top of his class!
