It had to be the Grinch,
because it certainly couldn’t be that I lost it. I have literally
turned this house upside down for the past hour searching in vain,
desperately trying to remember where I hid it.
I’ve looked in
every drawer in my room and on every shelf in my closet. I’ve
looked under beds and in the boys’ rooms. I even checked the oven.
Of course, if it were hiding in the oven, I probably would have
already set it on fire.
It’s also not in the broom closet, under
any sink or in the toy box, which leaves only one possibility.
The
Grinch stole it.
But alas, all my searching
was not totally in vain, for lo and behold, I discovered the SD card
with the pictures from Jacob and Benjy’s Christmas plays. Try not
to laugh too hard at Jacob’s elf costume.
But first, here's a look at Benjy.
Benjy, who never, ever dances in public, danced to Jingle Bell Rock with his classmates, and he didn't miss a single step. I was so proud of my shy little guy.
It didn't help that his little brother got to wear a cool leather jacket while he was stuck wearing satin pants.
Jacob clearly lacked enthusiasm before the show, but he danced well anyway to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Well, that was fun. Now I'm off to shake down the kids one more time before Chris gets home from the store. Wish me luck.
I hate it when I find the most brilliant hiding spot, or storage spot, for something and it's so brilliant that I can't even find it later when I want or need the item! Must have been the grinch (I'll use that next time). At least you had adorable satin panted elves and a mini Fonz to buy you some time. Hope you eventually found it!
ReplyDeleteOh, man! I did the same thing with some stuffed Hello Kitty toys that were slated for kid#2. I have torn apart the entire house, and no luck. They have obviously gone to the land of no return.
ReplyDeleteLove the elf costume. He looks totally peeved to be in the hat...
Thanks ladies. I gave my closet one more thorough search and finally found it hiding behind some clothes. I probably hid it there while I was talking on the phone. Multi-tasking is going to be the death of me.
ReplyDeleteNice one, Lisa. How many years in a row do you think Chris is going to fall for that one. I pull that one regularly on my sister-in-law. Ya know: "It's n the mail." "What do you mean it hasn't arrived, yet. I sent that thing ages ago!"...
ReplyDeleteGlad you found it and what a great post!! Love the pictures!
