I’ve promised to let Chris blog about the actual Fourth of July and his fun with fireworks.
And he said that I’m not allowed to blog about how I think it’s lame that there was no consulate sponsored celebration—at least not one that family members were invited to.
I guess I could blog about how it’s currently 85 degrees inside our house, but who really wants to read that.
Which means that all I’m left with is blogging about how awesome Chris’s coworker Tim is for once again organizing a camping outing into Mexico. This time he managed to rally 25 people willing to rough it on the beach at Playa Saldamando.
Situated on the cliffs overlooking the coast, Playa Saldamando offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and Mexico’s rugged and unadulterated coastline.

The kids ran wild, playing ball and collecting rolly polies.
Everyone got dirty (notice the dirt inside Andrew's nose) and tried to avoid the outhouses.
And with the ocean waves acting as a sound spa, we got the best sleep ever while on a camping trip. It was a perfect Fourth of July weekend.
