In Remembrance

"My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her."
-- George Washington (1732-1799)

Chris's mother passed away this week. I am sad to say that I did not know her well, since her health had deteriorated progressively over the years that I have known and loved her son.

But what I do know is that she raised a remarkable man full of passion and compassion, gumption and intelligence, wit and grace, with the ability to laugh at himself and the courage to keep fighting for what he wants-- just like his mother.

And for that I am humbly grateful.
