The experts say that it is not unusual for a child under 5 to wet the bed from time to time. Benjy is three, and we are about to move to Mexico, so needless to say, Lisa has been doing a lot of laundry, and I have been making the bed at bed time.
Tonight, after I finished making the bed, and tucked Benjy in, we had this conversation.
Benjy: Daddy, my bed not smell like "Pess."
Chris: Excuse me?
Benjy: My bed not smell like "Pess."
Chris: Pess? (where did he learn that?)
Benjy: Yeah, "Pess" from Shrek.
Chris: Pess from Shrek? oh, Puss! Puss in Boots.
Benjy: Yup. Pess Boot from Shrek.
Of course this begs the question:
Why would his bed smell like a cartoon cat?
