The Muralists

"It's all his fault."

At times like these, it's best to ask yourself one question.  What would Diego Rivera's mother do?

  1. No, it's best to ask ourselves, "Why don't we use whiteboards instead of drywall for the interior of our houses?"

    1. I think you're onto something here. Now just where would you get enough whiteboards to cover your walls? Lowe's? Home Depot? Or is there some sort of specialty store for desperate mothers of artistic children?

  2. "What would Diego Rivera's mother do?" Cannot count how many times I've thought that. You rock. (Well along with :"Why is the paint in this house in Mexico the consistency of White Out?" I have never seen paint that flat and porous before. It just sucks in whatever touches it.) They must just be expressing their grief at Grandma leaving.

    1. It's true. Benjy gave the walls a good scrubbing (well, a four-year-old scrubbing), and it looks like a paint job is on our future. I hope GSO is kind when we leave here.

  3. Maybe paint that wall blue and let them 'help'? I think Becky might be right about their feelings having Grandma withdrawal. How are you doing?

    1. For now, we're hiding that wall behind a well-placed chair, but I think you're right, we're going to have to paint it.

As for my mom, well, we all miss her, but we're keeping ourselves busy-- some of us more productively than others. (see photo above) Thanks for asking.

  4. Yeah, I am a bad mom. My first thought would have been, "How much will GSO charge me for this?" and also "Is there a way I can convince GSO that my kid(s) are really just young Diego Rivera/Picasso/Dali and get them to pay me to keep the art?"
